Putting the Service in Y Service Club

The Y Service Club was back in action helping the Burbank YMCA with its 5th Annual Laurel Kluge 5K race. The race benefits the Livestrong and Pink programs that the Burbank YMCA offers free of charge to cancer survivors. John Blake and Dave Workman from our club helped with traffic management and breakdown of the race, to help lighten the load on the YMCA staff.

The YMCA provides so many services at no cost or a reduced cost. Our Y Service club supports the YMCA with service projects and through our annual Lake Quannapowitt Tree Sale. Last year we gave $20,000 to charities, with the majority going to the Burbank YMCA and local scholarships sponsored by our Club.
